Ho Chi Minh City - Flamingo Spa

What can I say about the first few days here…the people are great, the food is fantastic, and THE SPAS ARE AMAZING.

HCMC is hot this time of year, not a little hot…smoking f’ing hot. So walking around you drink water, soda, beer. Anything you can get your hands on. However, the USD and Euro go a long way here and one thing you can indulge yourself with is a spa treatment.

Kevin (my partner in crime) and I spent 3.5 hours with the great team at Flamingo Spa and what an experience. 90 minute massage, then 30 minutes of sauna and steam room, followed by a 60 minute facial, finished with a refreshing cocktail. The ladies were very professional and I came away totally relaxed with my skin feeling amazing. We visited with the staff afterwards, discussing our homes, the war, and how happy we are that our respective countries have been able to heal and move forward.

Another great day in Vietnam…on to the Imperial City of Hue.
